Media / Press
To ensure high-quality transmissions from the neon grid, Arise Con maintains a strict vetting process for all media operatives. Access is granted to established outlets capable of providing professional-grade coverage of the event.
1. General Operative Requirements
- All applicants must meet the following baseline criteria to be considered for credentials:
- Age of Maturity: All press members must be 18 years of age or older by the date of the event.
- Verified Identification: A valid government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License, State ID, Passport, or Visa) is required for badge pickup.
- Professional Portfolio: Applicants must provide a portfolio or direct links to recent, high-quality media work relevant to pop culture, tech, or convention coverage
2. Outlet & Influence Standards
- We prioritize organizations with a proven track record of consistent engagement.
- Established Tenure: Your media outlet or organization must have a documented history of operation for no less than two years.
- Social Presence: Outlets must maintain an active, verified presence on at least one major social media platform.
- Metric Thresholds:
- Social Media: A minimum of 3,000 engaged followers/subscribers on your primary platform.
3. Coverage Lifecycle & Commitments
- Press access is a partnership. We expect the following "Pre-Event" and "Post-Event" transmissions
- Pre-Con Signal: Approved media must publish at least one piece of content promoting Arise Con (announcement, preview, or hype reel) within 45 days leading up to the convention.
- Post-Con Report: Full event coverage, reviews, or photo galleries must be submitted/published within 60 days after the event concludes. Failure to provide post-event coverage will result in a blacklisting for future Arise Con events.
4. Specialized Media Roles
- Photographers: Applications for independent photographers are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Priority is given to those assigned to cover specific Arise Con events (e.g., The Masquerade or K-Pop Sector).
- Content Creators vs. Media: If your content focuses primarily on reaction videos, gameplay walkthroughs, or comedic skits, you do not qualify for a Press Badge. We invite you to apply for our "Creator" or "Industry" badges instead.
5. Terms of Access
- Press badges grant access to the convention floor and specific media-only areas.
- Credentials do not guarantee priority seating for high-demand panels or celebrity meet-and-greets.
- Arise Con reserves the right to revoke credentials at any time for unprofessional conduct or failure to adhere to our safety protocols.
6. Limitations
- Press badges do NOT provide free accommodations, travel, parking or food
- Limited priority entry to main events and panels
- Press badges do NOT provide priority treatment for autograph sessions
- Press badges must be picked up on-site by each member of your team
