Arise Con Volunteer Guidelines

• Creating a Welcoming Environment: As the face of Arise Con, our volunteers are the key to making the event a fun, safe, and magical experience! We ask that you always bring a cheerful, helpful attitude when interacting with attendees, guests, and fellow teammates.

• Focusing on the Con: To keep the focus on our community, please refrain from promoting personal businesses, outside events, or other endeavors while you are on your volunteer shift.

• Keeping it Safe & Positive: We love a high-energy, friendly con space! To protect the positive vibes of Arise Con, we maintain a zero-tolerance policy for hostile or disruptive behavior. Treating others with disrespect will result in the immediate conclusion of your volunteer role and the loss of your weekend badge.

• Showing Up for the Team: Your team is counting on you! If you can no longer make a scheduled shift, please let us know ahead of time. Missing a shift without prior notice lets the team down and will result in a two-year break from volunteering at future Arise Con events.

• Following Con Policies: In addition to these volunteer guidelines, all volunteers are expected to follow the general Arise Con attendee rules and venue policies. We lead by example to keep the con safe and fun for everyone!
